Abaco Down Deep Michael Schreiner Lives on Lubbers and can charter.
It is centrally placed between Marsh harbour (with its groceries, Airport and many other businesses) and Hopetown/Elbow Cay with its cute streets and restaurants.
It is quieter than the bustle of Hopetown or the traffic of Marsh Harbour and it affords private docks/slips for ease of boating.
You can wander our practically deserted beaches and yet access the fun of Tahiti beach or the restaurants on Elbow Cay.
If you fish we have our own flats or the Tiloo cut is right opposite straight to the Atlantic with deep drop offs within 1/2 a mile of the cut.
Lubbers is protected from the Atlantic winds and swell by Tiloo Cay,

erfect!!
My
husband and I loved Sue and Arthur's Clearwater Cottage! It's
adorable inside and out, and a 30-second walk to the beach and
dock. It had everything you need to
cook a great meal, and we
utilized their paddleboards every day!! They also have kayaks,
available to use. It's on Lubbers Quarters, which is an easy 5
to 15-minute
boat ride to Elbow Cay, depending on what end of
the island you are going. And close to all other islands. It's a
quiet island, which we loved because we did not want
the
busyness of other islands. There is one restaurant on Lubbers,
and we also went to down deep right down the road from the
cottage to get some fresh Mahi-Mahi!
Chad the caretaker was
always available, as well and Sue and Arthur, who even let us
check out late because we had a later flight. We are already
trying to plan a trip
back!! Thank you again, Sue and Arthur,
for opening up your Abaco home to us!
Everything was perfect.
Best Vacation Ever!!!
Clean and Comfortable....A perfect romantic getaway! Once we
picked up our rental boat the was easy to locate. It was easy to
get our
luggage nd groceries from the dock to the house. The
house and landscaping were exactly as pictured. The sea turtles
and fish were visible right from the dock. The
location was
perfect. Although staying on Lubbers requires a boat rental I
would not consider it to be an additional expense as I would not
want to stay anywhere in the
Abacos without a boat. Having
the boat made our trip. It gave us the ability to explore
different places ab do things such as snorkeling, fishing, and
conch diving.
Going to the beach every day may sound
monotonous but not when you can choose a different secluded
beautiful beach anytime you want. I can’t say enough about just
how wonderful this vacation was. We will be going back next year
and I am counting the days!
Super private and tranquil
If you want
remote and private then this is your spot. A boat is a must but
easy peasy to get around the islands by boat. Might be a lil too
quiet for some, once the
sun sets you’re essentially stranded
until the sunrise again, others may love this!
Overall super
cool place and highly recommended.... Cheers
